The event was also joined by officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration of Market Regulation and other relevant departments.
The event is an important initiative of MOFCOM to implement the decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on promoting the integration of domestic and foreign trade and helping foreign trade products to expand domestic sales. The event mainly consists of “1+10+N”, i.e. one launching ceremony, ten foreign trade and consumption provinces, and a series of thematic matchmaking activities for the key industries, in order to smooth the domestic sale channels of foreign trade enterprises, to respond to external shocks, and to help stabilize foreign trade and expand consumption.
At the launch event, MOFCOM mobilized and made plans for the whole-year activities of the event. The six major import and export chambers of commerce of machinery and electronic products, textiles, light industry products and arts-crafts, foodstuffs, native produce and animal by-products, metals, minerals and chemicals, and medicines and health products, and the five major industry and circulation associations including the China General Chamber of Commerce, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the China Textile and Apparel Council, the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, and the China Association for General Merchandise, jointly issued initiatives to promote domestic sales of foreign trade products.
