Vice Minister Sheng Qiuping hosts Roundtable for FIEs in Shanghai

On November 3, Vice Minister Sheng Qiuping hosted Rountable for FIEs on automobile and consumer goods and trade in services in Shanghai. Sheng listened to their demands, opinions and suggestions on issues related to foreign investment in China. Representatives of 31 foreign-invested enterprises attended and spoke at the meeting.

Sheng Qiuping said that adhering to the basic state policy of opening up, China will lift all restrictions on foreign investment in the manufacturing sector, continue to expand market access for modern services, and open up trade in services. China gives high priority to restoring and expanding consumption. The huge potential and broad space of Chinese consumer market will bring new development opportunities to foreign-invested enterprises around the world, who are welcome to invest in China and achieve mutual benefit and common prosperity through open cooperation.

Representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Intellectual Property Administration and relevant departments of Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces attended the meeting and exchanged views with enterprises.
